Works in the area of bioprocess intensification, aiming to identify bioreactor operation strategies that achieve higher yields and productivities of target compounds, using both wild-type and recombinant organisms, with a focus on developing integrated technologies for Consolidated Bioprocessing that are scalable to industrial levels and environmentally sustainable.
